Deleting Blog

So, I've been thinking about it for awhile now, and now that I have 2 blogs, it's getting hard to keep up with both of them. I've decided to delete this blog and only use my photography blog. In my photography blog, there is a tab labeled "Categories." I will label all of my personal posts under "Personal" within the Category tab, so you can still be up to date with what I'm up to. Just in case you don't have the web address it's www.erinwatsonphotoblog.com. Please save it in your favorites :)

I added the link to the right side of this blog, under "Websites I Love" so you can just find it through there. The web address is www.erinwatsonphotoblog.com... So check it out and let me know what you think!! (:

Watson. Erin Watson.

I'm not sure where to begin with this post. There is way too much to talk about since the last time I posted. As most of you know, on April 14th Eric and I finally tied to the knot! It was an amazingly perfect day and definitely one that I will always remember. The wedding was outside and the weather held up beautifully. Blue skies and warm weather. It was the perfect spring day. I'm so glad we could share it with all of our closest friends and family. I do not have the pictures from the photographer yet, but I will post them when I get them. Here are some that were taken by Katie. Here and Here. After the reception, Eric and I drove to Washington DC to stay at a hotel by the airport, since our flight left at 6 am the next morning from Dulles... or so we thought. When we booked our honeymoon, we were leaving from Dulles. Somewhere along the line, we got an email changing our flight time and, apparently, the airport. So we got to Dulles only to find out that we should have been to Reagan all along. LUCKILY there were open seats and they were able to switch our tickets at the last minute. So, even though we almost doubted it at first, we arrived in St. Lucia. And it was AMAZING. I will break it down for  you.

(A lot of these are cell phone pics)

Sunday
Arrived to the resort around 4:00.
Unpacked bags.
Layed out by the beach.

View from our window.

Our room was on the edge of that peninsula. Amazing views.

Monday
Snuba. I know, you probably thought that was a typo, but it wasn't. Snuba was SO much fun. It's basically scuba diving, but instead of the oxygen tank attached to you, it is floating on a raft at the surface and you are connected to it by a hose. In the water we saw an octopus, and a red sea horse.
Sailing. Ok, so it wasn't technically sailing, but Eric took me around on a catamaran.

Tuesday
"Joe Knows" Tour. This was one of the best tours they offered. It was 6 hours long, from 9-3. You start out on a boat and they take you across the island to a volcano. There, we bathed in the "Fountain of Youth" (aka - mud bath) and rinsed off in the hot springs. Then, they took us to a waterfall in the rainforest where we got to swim. It was beautiful. Then we went snorkeling where we saw this crazy looking sea snake. It was white with bright rings around it. It was cool to see but I steered clear (: To end the day, they took us out to lunch off of the resort for an authentic Creole meal. For those of you who know me, I am very particular about my food and I don't liker trying new things. But I tried it, and LOVED it. I even went back for seconds :P

A scene in Pirates of the Caribbean ... our boat went through that.

A local kid jumping off the cliff. Look for the red shorts.

Wednesday
Chill day - layed by the pool, drank from the swim-up bar
Played beach volleyball
Casino Night.

Thursday
Zip Lining. This was AWESOME. Probably my favorite thing we did in St. Lucia. I was so scared at first because it was so high and there were trees everywhere (hence the rainforest..) but after I went across the first line I wasn't scared at all. There were a total of 12 lines and we had so much fun!
Shopping Tour. Yes, you have to sign up for a tour to go shopping outside of the resort. They took us to the market in the city were all the locals shop. Here is where I got some souvenirs and gifts for friends and family back home.

The Market.

Friday
Rainforest/Waterfall Cycling. Yeah, cycling. Like, riding a bike. For some reason Eric and I didn't register that when we signed up for it. I think all we heard was "rainforest" and "waterfall" and we signed up. When we got our bikes, we realized we hadn't really ridden a bike since we were about 12 and we were about to do it rigorously through the rainforest while in the pouring down rain on a dirt/rocky trail. After we got past what our tour guide referred to as "Death Mountain" and "Suicide Hill" (both of which I walked my bike up) it was actually kind of fun... with a few water breaks along the way ;). Our tour guide was awesome because he would stop here and there to tell us about local crops and fruits that were growing around us. And we would stop to sample some. The bananas and mangos there were better than anything I've ever had. They also grew pineapple, coconuts, cinnamon trees, cocoa and more. Then we got to the waterfall. We did a little bit of hiking but when we finally got to it, it was the most amazing waterfall I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I did not bring my camera or phone on this excursion since it was pouring down rain, but the couple we were with took pictures for us and are going to email them to me. So as soon as I get them, I will post.
Sailing. Since we didn't have enough the first time, Eric took me back out of the catamaran. The wind wasn't as good as the first time, so it was a shorter trip.
Layed out for the last time at the beach. :(

Coconut straight from the tree.

Saturday
Woke up bright and early for breakfast, check out, and the flight home.

Although it was wayyy too short, we had an amazing time and we are happy to be back home.

And here are just some miscellaneous pictures..

Thanks for stopping by! :)
