Updates.

Wedding planning has been going GREAT! My mom and I have been working very hard these last 2 weekends.. we barely had time to sit down. Since the last time I posted we went to the florist to pick our flowers, went to the tasting and picked out food for the reception, picked a baker and the cake, purchased more decorations, scoped out stationary, went to a local Bridal Expo, and got my dress fitted. We've been busy. Everything is coming along and I cannot wait until the big day! (: Although the nightmares are pretty much occurring on an every day basis now, I am having so much fun planning all the little things (like decor) now that all the big things are over. 74 more days!!!!

On another note, my baby is sick (and by my baby I mean Guinness..) I got home from work today and noticed his eye pretty much closed shut and a bunch of gunk coming out. I wiped it a few times and tried to get as much of it out as I could and he seemed WAY better. Until about 2 minutes later. When more gunk accumulated. Hm. It's been a few hours now and it still looks the same. The benefits of having a vet in the family? Overnighting kitty medicine to my local CVS (thanks Brian!) Hopefully he is back to himself soon!!

Oh, and I found this pic on my camera today too... can you say model?!? It doesn't get any cuter than that.

Wedding Nightmare.

So you know how everyone always says that once your wedding gets closer, you start having horrible dreams? I thought everyone was full of it. I mean, that only happens when you're scared to get married... right?? Nope. I had my first wedding nightmare last night. And it was bad. There are 87 days (according to my "The Knot" IPhone app) left until the big day. I have been nothing but excited since I got engaged 3 months ago. But this dream... it felt so real that I was wide awake when I woke up from it at 3:30am and I couldn't go back to sleep. So in the dream, it was my wedding day. When I woke up that day, I realized I still needed to get done all the things that I haven't gotten done yet in real life. I didn't have music, flowers, wedding bands, or any decorations. Not only that, but I forgot it was my wedding day. I woke up late, showed up to Stone Manor and people were already starting to show up. I hurried inside to see if anyone was there to help me. No one. I didn't have my dress, my hair was a mess, no makeup, nothing. I didn't know what to do. I finally found Eric (who had not forgotten it was our wedding day) and he told me that the honeymoon deposit didn't go through and there would be no honeymoon. I was a disaster. I was about to walk down the isle in pajamas and I couldn't get myself to walk in front of all those people staring at me. People that I haven't seen in years. And people that I haven't even met yet in Eric's family. That's when I woke up. And it took me a few extra seconds to realize that I still have *87* days left until the wedding. I even checked my phone to make sure. Whew. I am so glad that this was just a dream. I hope I don't have too many more like that. But if anything, I think it motivated me a little bit today to get some more planning done (:

Emily & Pietro

As most of you know, Emily was my college roommate, one of my best friends, and a bridesmaid in my wedding. She and Pietro have been dating since high school, so when she asked me to do a photo shoot of them I was so excited!! It took a little planning to figure out a meeting spot in between our houses (we live about an hour and half away from each other) and then Emily suggested the Tidal Basin in Washington DC. Although I have never been there before, I have heard so much about it. People travel from all over to see the cherry blossoms blooming in the spring. Obviously, it wasn't spring but it was still pretty nonetheless. And I had a pretty awesome subjects. I think Emily was a model in another life (: Thank you guys for asking me to take your pictures!
