Brain Cloud.

Well, I have not blogged since Tuesday and I do not really have much to blog about now.  I think I am having a "bloggers block" and also a "photography block" (for those of you that check up on my photo project website know that it took me 3 days to catch up).  I'm not sure why all of the sudden I can't figure out anything to blog about or take pictures of.  Maybe there is a cloud over the creativity side of my brain??? Is that possible???? I don't know if it's because I've been sort of busy lately.  Other than working, I've been hanging out with Eric, catching up with a few old friends, going to doctor's appointments, getting pedicures and other spa treatments (because that is JUST as important as doctor appointments... mental health, come on people), dodging earthquakes and hurricanes, and caught up on all the goodness that is football season. So I guess it could just be that I'm busy.  Either way, I feel guilty about not keeping up with the photography project and the blog like I want to.  I think I need to take a day and just bring my camera somewhere to only take pictures (after work). Maybe then I will really get back into it, rather than just sneaking a few pictures in where ever I go. Hopefully I can get back into it!!

Here's a few pictures from my 365 Day Photography Project.

a WHAT?!?!?

An earthquake?!? I'm sure this is not news to anyone reading this, but yes, there was an earthquake today. On the east coast. Again. Centered around mid-Virginia, there was a 5.9 earthquake which was felt up to Quebec, down to South Carolina, and over to Chicago.  I was at work in the back filing room all by myself when the filing cabinets that go all the way up to the ceiling started shaking above me and my chair was shaking.  My first reaction was obviously not  an earthquake. I was trying to figure out if it was construction on the roof or something. I know a lot of people were afraid of an attack in DC or Ft. Detrick or something. Luckily, it was not that. Then everyone was yelling for us to evacuate.  Although it was only a 5.9, it is said to be the biggest earthquake in this area since the 1700s. SCARY! All of the west coasters are probably laughing at us right now! Anyway, this is the third earthquake I have felt around here in the last 3-4 years.  This concerns me. I have now lived through (at my house in Maryland) a tornado, 3 earthquakes, major flooding, numerous blizzards (3 in one year), droughts, and record-breaking heat waves, and I'M ONLY 21!!!  What's next, a volcano??? ha... *knock on wood...

On other news, don't forget to check out my 365 day photography project at

OH, and I know you all are concerned, but yes, Guinness is OK! ;)

catch-up

I feel like I haven't blogged in a really long time. I haven't even been keeping up with the photography project (don't worry, I have the pictures, I just haven't posted them yet).  This weekend, my parents and Eric and I drove to Pennsylvania to hang out with Katie, Dan, David, Brynn, and Bailey at their house. It was so much fun! Saturday when we got there, Katie, Eric and I went straight to this awesome park to meet up with Katie's friend Aimee. You've probably seen many pictures of this park if you follow her blog. I got to snap a few pictures of Isaac (Aimee's son) and David too. Sunday we went to the caboose park. Here are some pictures from this weekend.

Katie and Brynn

Katie posted some really cute pictures of Brynn on her blog and a few of them reminded me of some pictures I have on my computer of Katie when she was little.

the heavens.

I couldn't think of anything else to title this blog post. It's the only thing I think of when I see this picture.  The sky was BEAUTIFUL the other night when Eric and I were playing volleyball in the yard, so he allowed me to call a photo time-out. :).

This picture is completely unedited (other than just converting it from Raw to jpg file to put it on the blog ).

So if you've been following my photo project website, you may have seen these already. But I thought I'd post them on here anyway along with some others that didn't make it on there.
