A Few Distractions.

I am SO EXCITED for this weekend! I know it probably seems by the way I anxiously await their arrival, that I don't see my sister and her family more than once a year, but I actually see them at least once a month. It doesn't matter I still get so excited to see them and their little ones (Bailey included). I may also be excited about stealing Katie's new lens that she got that she said she would bring to let me "play with"... little does she know... :P. Not only am I excited about them coming, but I am also excited about going back to JMU tomorrow for the Homecoming football game!! I haven't seen the new stadium yet and I cannot wait. I heard it is incredible. THEN when we get back, we celebrate Patrick's birthday on Sunday! Festivities include king crab legs, burgers and dogs, ice cream cake (from Dairy Queen of course), presents, and family. :). Hopefully I will have a lot of picture updates after this weekend! But for now, I'll leave you with a few distractions I used to keep me busy until they get here.

Flowers

Is it really only Tuesday??? I feel like it's been a month since my last post. Saturday, Eric surprised me with JMU Homecoming football tickets this weekend against Richmond! He found them on craigslist, so we met the guy last minute at the Tysons Corner mall. While we were there we decided to catch a movie since we have a gift card to the AMC movie theater there. Then Sunday took a huge plunge in the opposite direction. I got pretty sick and just layed around and slept all day and just felt so down. Monday I had to take off work and I did pretty much the same thing... but added a Twilight movie marathon. Much needed. I think the worst part about all of this though is that the Redskins lost to the Cowboys on Monday night football. Most of you probably know my love for not only football, but the Redskins. I wait all year for the night we face the Cowboys. I had so much confidence and then... crushed. Right at the last second. But somehow I found a way to wake up this morning and go to work. I still do not feel great, but while at work one of my co-workers came in to tell me that there was something out front for me. When i went out I saw a beautiful bouquet of flowers!!! Eric had surprised me with flowers at work!!! It pretty much made my day :)

Darius Rucker.

Ohhhh last night was so much fun!! My friend Kristen brought me to the Darius Rucker concert at the Frederick Fair for my birthday! For those of you who do not recognize Darius Rucker by just his name, you may know him as the lead singer of the band Hootie and the Blowfish. He left the band a few years ago and decided to start singing country. Well that was the best decision he ever made because he is a bigger star than ever before! Anyway, the concert was so much fun! We sat in the chairs in front of the stage (as opposed to the stadium seatings) in the 10th row back. So awesome. Here are some pics from the night. Fair.

Last night Eric and I went to the fair! I haven't been since probably 9th grade, so I don't really remember much of it. I forgot how big it was! After we parked, paid multiple unnecessary fees, and lugged the tripod into the fair, I got to take some pics! I didn't take as many as I wanted (which would probably result in me spending the night) because Eric was being such a trooper waiting for me to take pictures and setting up my tripod every 3 minutes. The luxury of dating a photographer... hehe. Also, I got a phone call from Patrick while at the fair and he asked me what I was doing. Turns out, he was at the fair too, so it was nice seeing him! (Thanks for letting me steal some Boardwalk fries..). Anyway, the ferris wheel was obviously the biggest subject of my photos, but I tried to capture some of the other highlights of the fair.
