bittersweet friday.

Well, it's Friday and you know what that means. I officially survived my first week of work! Which explains why I haven't blogged in a week. I've been super busy and then when I get home I'm so tired that I don't want to think about doing anything else.  Ok... work isn't THAT bad. I actually like it.  At first I was a little skeptical because I was just in a room by myself and mostly just filing, organizing, separating, color coding, highlighting... you know... organization stuff (which actually gives me a great amount of satisfaction). I get through all of this pretty quickly (apparently WAY faster then the last person there) so there was a lot of downtime, which I did not like.  I would sit around basically doing nothing for like 30 min - 1 hour at a time.  I still am doing all of these things, but I've gotten a lot more tasks to do throughout the rest of the week so I am constantly busy now. I have also gotten to know most of the people that work there (even the physical therapist, so that will be fun), and I am very grateful to be working at such a high energy place with such nice people! I am still in shock and finding it hard to fathom the reality that I will have to work everyday for the rest of my life.  The thought of this is a little bit depressing; however, I am willing to reconsider these feelings when I get my first paycheck. :) I guess working is sort of bittersweet in that way. All of you readers that did not just graduate college and have been working for many years are probably reading this and chuckling at this post, since this is something you have come to realize years ago.  Everyone has to start somewhere.

On another note, Katie, Dan and the kids (Bailey included) are visiting again tonight and through the weekend because Katie has a photoshoot to do for a friend's graduation. Every time they move I worry that I will never see them, but turns out, I end up seeing them quite often.  We love having them around! That about does it for this post.  Apologies for no pictures and all of the wordiness. I will make up for it by promising you an immense amount of pictures this weekend.
