An earthquake?!? I'm sure this is not news to anyone reading this, but yes, there was an earthquake today. On the east coast. Again. Centered around mid-Virginia, there was a 5.9 earthquake which was felt up to Quebec, down to South Carolina, and over to Chicago. I was at work in the back filing room all by myself when the filing cabinets that go all the way up to the ceiling started shaking above me and my chair was shaking. My first reaction was obviously not an earthquake. I was trying to figure out if it was construction on the roof or something. I know a lot of people were afraid of an attack in DC or Ft. Detrick or something. Luckily, it was not that. Then everyone was yelling for us to evacuate. Although it was only a 5.9, it is said to be the biggest earthquake in this area since the 1700s. SCARY! All of the west coasters are probably laughing at us right now! Anyway, this is the third earthquake I have felt around here in the last 3-4 years. This concerns me. I have now lived through (at my house in Maryland) a tornado, 3 earthquakes, major flooding, numerous blizzards (3 in one year), droughts, and record-breaking heat waves, and I'M ONLY 21!!! What's next, a volcano??? ha... *knock on wood...
