happy birthday???

Happy Birthday to Guinness, our little friend... kind of.  In February, while at JMU, Eric's best friend, Shane, asked us if we could hold onto this little tabby cat while he finds a home for him.  Shane got him at the vet clinic where he works by a lady who had a whole litter.  He took him in, named him Guinness, got caught by his apartment complex at school (they are not allowed to have cats and are fined big bucks if caught), and dropped him off at my place.  He assured us that it would only be until spring break (about a month), or earlier if he finds a home for him.  Who would've known I would have fallen so in love with this cat??? Apparently that was Shane's plan all along. Tricky business.  I never really considered myself a "cat person" since I've always loved dogs so much, but this cat IS pretty cool, I have to admit. Now, he is in Maryland with me, and Eric gets to see him when he visits (incentive???).  He can't stay at Eric's house, since they just got 2 weimaraners that are not very... cat friendly, to say the least.  Anyway, when we got him in February we were told that he was about 8 months old. So, being June, happy birthday Guinness... i think (:

*Please note the water on his chin. Little kitty still doesnt have the drinking water concept down quite right. He just kind of lays his chin in the water.  Maybe by his 2nd birthday??
