The Big Dog. And Complaints.

This weekend I drove down to Chesapeake to meet up with Eric go to the Toby Keith (the Big Dog) concert in VA Beach. It was SOOOOO much fun. It was mine and Eric's first concert ever, so neither of us really knew what to expect.  He played every song that we wanted to hear and some that we had never heard before.  I told Eric that this set the bar for future concerts and none will live up to that one.  Although the concert on Saturday was so much fun, the other parts of the weekend were not so great.  For starters, I found my GPS (broken) in my glove box after work before I left for Chesapeake.  For those of you who do not know my GPS history, this is my 3rd GPS in 2 years.  Broken. Cracked. Unfixable. My first 2 got stolen. So, as you can imagine, I was pretty heated. The drive to Eric's house is my least favorite drive ever, since I have to take the beltway around DC and Richmond and then down past Williamsburg and Norfolk.  So starting the drive without a GPS kind of freaked me out.  I figured I would be fine since I have made the trip by myself before. Nope.  I think I missed every exit.  It took me about 5 and a half hours to get there.  I got there around 9:00 or 9:30 and Eric was nice enough to meet me at Olive Garden (fav.) for a late dinner since I was STARVING.  So that was Friday.  Saturday was the concert. Other than the fact that they didn't let me bring ANY of my lenses in but one small one, it went pretty well. Oh, and there was a severe thunderstorm RIGHT when Eric Church left the stage and Toby Keith was about to come on, so we were all supposed to go to our cars and wait it out. And Sunday I left just to sit in traffic the entire way back with maniac drivers.  Next weekend I have to go back for Sienna's 2nd birthday party, but luckily Eric is meeting me here on Thursday to get his new place set up and so we can drive down to Chesapeake together and come back together.

Here are some of the pictures I got from the concert. Again, they only let me bring one lens in that didn't zoom very far (didn't want me to sell professional pictures) so I didn't get THAT great of pictures. But, they will do :)
